A route map needs a receipt
A route on a map can look convincing before anyone checks whether the vehicle had enough capacity, whether every customer was served, or whether the reported cost belongs to that route at all.
Follow the trail backward
- The picture
- Does the route show the decoded vehicle sequence and depot?
- Are all plotted customers from the same solution?
- The numbers
- Can the objective and emissions be recomputed from the saved solution?
- Do the table, route, and run record share the same case and settings?
- The claim
- Is this a simulation, a measured operation, or a general claim?
- Does the sentence stay within what the comparison can support?
This chain is less glamorous than a polished visualization, but it gives the reader a way back to the evidence. A figure becomes useful when someone can ask where it came from—and get an answer.
